Beautiful day!
Do you also love crocheting bags, backpacks, pouches, sacks, handbags, or market bags? Crocheted bags are my favorite project to make, and they're also a perfect gift, not just for my friends. And I think crocheted market bags, in particular, will delight anyone you want to treat with a handmade gift.
Today, I've prepared an easy pattern for a simple summer mesh bag with a stretchy design. The market bag has a straightforward construction, crocheted from the bottom up in rounds. Two handles are crocheted at the top. You can make it larger or smaller, wider or narrower – according to your needs and taste. This market bag is easily adjustable, flexible, airy, stylish, and practical.
For this project, I chose an interesting ribbon yarn called Kleopatra, which has a high sheen, making the entire bag look luxurious.
The mesh summer bag is crocheted using an easy, repeating pattern with single crochets, double crochets, and chain stitches. Even beginners can try this textured pattern that creates little flowers. The bag is crocheted starting from a magic ring, gradually expanding. Once you're happy with the achieved width, you'll crochet the body of the bag. The top part of the bag is slightly tapered. The handles are crocheted directly while working the last rows of the bag.
In the video, we'll crochet a medium-sized market bag using 3 balls of yarn.
This pattern is designed for experienced beginners. No special crochet knowledge is required; everything is explained and shown in detail in the video tutorial.
So let's get started!
