Crochet Shawl Angora Gold with beautiful relief fans

2024-03-14

Hello My Crochet Friends!

You already know from my video reports that I fell in love with Alize Angora Gold yarn. I really like its composition and colors, and I chose one beautiful purple ball.

p1010611.jpeg

I started crocheting a triangular scarf. I chose a beautiful pattern made of fans. The scarf is crocheted in rows, back and forth, and the middle corner is crocheted in the middle of the row.

Crocheting this scarf is easy, we crochet only 2 rows that are repeated and we also repeat the pattern in the row. You can easily remember the pattern, after a few rows you only need to count to 7, the 7 is the number of stitches in a group of stitches and crocheting is quick.

You can crochet a small, medium or large scarf - according to your needs and wishes.

At first I crocheted a smaller scarf from one ball and then I bought a second ball and the scarf turned out to be a big beautiful colorful scarf. This elegant scarf is great from autumn to spring.

2) This Shawl is crocheted in rows, turn your work when you finish the row.

3) A Ch 4 at beg of the row counts as stitch, ch4 = treble

4) The Shawl measures:

smaller shawl from one ball: 80 cm x 120 cm x 80 cm

bigger shawl from two balls: 102 cm x 170 cm x 102 cm

Level: Easy - for beginners

Abbreviations (US Crochet Terms):
SP - space
SlSt – slip stitch

CH/s – chain/s

DC - double crochet
SK - skip
T - turn
ST/s - stitch(es)
REP - repeat
YO – yarn over
BLO - back loop only
RS - right side

WS - wrong side

Special stitches used:

FRONT POST DOUBLE CROCHET AND BACK POST DOUBLE CROCHET STITCHES
front post double crochet (fpdc) and back post double crochet (bpdc)
Front and back post crochet stitches are used to create wonderful texture in crochet. Instead of making your stitch through the loops at the top of the stitch, you make it around the stitch. Everything else stays the same. The most challenging things about crochet post stitches are knowing where and how to insert the hook. There are front post stitches and back post stitches.
For front post double crochet stitches (fpdc): yarn over, insert your hook from front to back then from back to front around post of stitch indicated, yarn over, pull through stitch, then finish your double crochet as normal, yarn over, pull through 2 lps, yarn over, pull through last 2 lps
For back post double crochet stitches (bpdc): yarn over, you insert your hook from back to front then from front to back around post stitch indicated, yarn over, pull through stitch, then finish your double crochet as normal, yarn over, pull through 2 lps, yarn over, pull through last 2 lps
