Stylish Bag Made of 3 Squares – Twisted Triangles Pattern
Welcome to a new crafting pattern! Today, we will crochet a simple yet wonderfully colorful designer bag made from just three granny squares.
It is a fantastic way to use up even the smallest leftovers of t-shirt yarn or thicker yarns and create an original piece tailored precisely to your color ideas.
I have prepared a detailed step-by-step process for you in a new video tutorial. Before you dive into watching and crafting, let us briefly summarize how the construction works.
How to do it:
- Crochet 3 squares. I named the pattern "Twisted Triangles," and it consists of double crochets and a classic granny pattern.
- Fold the squares into triangles and join them together with simple single crochets.
- Crochet a sturdy strap or handle, and your stylish bag is complete.
What you will need:
- Yarn: Leftover t-shirt yarn or any other sturdy yarn
- Crochet Hook: Size corresponding to your chosen yarn (I use a 6.5 mm hook in the video tutorial)
- Supplies: Scissors, a tapestry needle for weaving in ends, and optionally stitch markers
Why you will love this project:
- Great scrap buster: Use up smaller balls and leftover t-shirt yarn sitting in your stash.
- Quick project: Thanks to the three squares and thicker yarn, the bag grows right before your eyes.
- Absolute simplicity: No complex shaping – just crochet three squares, fold, and join.
- Original design: The Twisted Triangles pattern gives the bag wonderful texture and depth.
- Versatile piece: You can customize the size and strap length to suit your preference.
