Pattern Notes

These patterns are for kids size (6 and 10 years) can easily be adapted to a smaller size or bigger size just by reducing or increasing the numbers of stitches and as well as less or more numbers of rows. Remember that when making beanie for adults size, you will need more yarn.
These Beanies are crocheted in rounds from the top down.
A Ch 3 at beg of the row counts as dc in the 1st and 2nd rounds only!
Finish each round with slip stitch in the 3rd ch from beg
Use always 2 strands together at one time (2 yarns for one loop). Change colour as you desire.

I can't wait to see what colours you make your crochet puff stitch beanie in!

GIRLS PATTERN

Make a magic circle.

Work in rounds

Use 2 yarns at one time - I started with 2 grey yarns

R1: ch3 (those first ch3 will count as a dc), 11dc in the ring. sl st in the 3rd ch from beg. (12 dc in total)

R2: ch3, dc in the same st as ch3, then 2dc in each next st around. sl st in the 3rd ch from beg (24dc)

R3: Puff stitches
ch3, 3dc cluster in each space between double crochets sts from the R2, sl st in the 3rd ch from beg (24 puff st)

R4 - 12:  repeat R3 for next 8 rounds
Change colours as per your desired ombre pattern.
I used 4 rounds of grey colour, 3 rounds of grey+pink colours, 3 rounds of pink colour.
Make sure you have 24 puffs around in each round to make the beanie big enough for a kid's head.
