Crochet Sweet Bubble Hats for Babies and Toddlers

2024-04-26

Hello My Crochet Friends!

In my last video tutorial, I taught you how to crochet Happy Sleepy Octopuses.

Today, I thought it would be great to create a beautiful BUBBLE hat to complete a lovely sweet set for your babies.

In this new pattern, I want to share with you my favorite BUBBLE stitch, which creates a super easy-to-make hat. If you’re in search of a quick and simple crochet BABY HAT, you're in the right place.

As you know, I love crocheting and wearing hats! This BUBBLE hat is perfect for fall and spring.

I adore the wonderful colors and premium quality of this yarn; it's not too thick, just the right thickness to showcase some texture. The texture on this hat is achieved using BUBBLE stitches.

Moreover, this hat is incredibly versatile in sizing, making it suitable for babies, toddlers, and older kids alike.

I prepared 2 sizes: babies 0-6 months old and toddlers 1-2 years old size.

It's also a fantastic piece for gifting. Consider trying this wonderful BUBBLE design for your next baby hat project, or even donate hats made using this pattern to hospitals.

I'm excited to demonstrate how to crochet this easy, perfect baby hat that really fits! Let’s dive right into it!

So let me now get started and tell you what you will need in order to crochet this AMAZING BUBBLE HAT.

These crochet beanies are easy to make, with a simple pattern and a lightweight feel - perfect for spring and the warmer days of autumn. img_3426.jpeg

The pattern uses only basic crochet stitches - double crochet, single crochet and BUBBLE stitches and chains.

I am including baby and toddler size and you can easily change the sizing by making the hat smaller or bigger.

The Hat is crocheted with yarn Papatya Supreme Cotton.

For this Hat will need 1 skein of Papatya Supreme Cotton, or  1/3 skein of 3 skeins

Pattern Notes

1) This pattern below is for babies and toddlers sizes, this can be easily adapted to a smaller size or bigger size just by reducing or increasing the numbers of BUBBLE stitches and as well as less or more numbers of rows. Remember that when making bigger hat size, you will need more yarn.

2) This BUBBLE HAT is crocheted in rounds from the top down using BUBBLE stitches and chains.

3) A Ch 1 at beg of the row doesn‘t count as stitch

4) Work in closed roundswhich means that you will be joining the last stitch of the round with the first one with a slip stitch. When you reach the beg of row, make a slip stitch on top of first stitch – first BUBBLE stitch - then continue working in stitches from the previous round.

4) ( ) – The number of stitches that should be in a completed round/row are placed in brackets at the end of that round’s/row’s instructions.
