I really like homemade things and one of my favorite things is to crochet and make Christmas decorations.

I decided to make a Christmas decorations collection this year. In my collection you can find angles, snowmen, trees or bells!

And today I would like to share the SNOWFLAKE pattern - super EASY and QUICK!

With super simple 3 rows this mini SNOWFLAKE decoration is a fun and fast gift to make or to keep for your own tree. Only use a small amount of yarn, and the snowflake can be made with any weight or type of yarn you like.

This snowflake is crocheted in closed rounds, in one piece, from the center of the snowflake to the edge.

You can make many of them and I am sure these will put your home in the spirit of the Holiday season and they could make a nice garland decoration!

This CROCHET EASY SNOWFLAKE is an adorable little Christmas decoration, super easy and quick to crochet, great project for beginners.

I have used an amigurumi yarn, but different yarn weights will produce different sized snowflakes.

The pattern was made with:

Terezka yarn: 1 skein / ball, 100 % cotton, 50g / 155 m

3 mm crochet hook

Pattern will work in other hooks and yarns though finished size will be different.

Difficulty Level: Level 1 – Easy, for beginners

US crochet terms:

SlSt – slip stitch

CH/s – chain/s

SC - single crochet

HDC - half double crochet

DS - double crochet

SK - skip

T - turn

ST/s - stitch(es)

REP – repeat

1) A ch1 at beg of the row DOESN'T count as a stitch

2) Magic ring = the starting point for crocheting.

3) Cloused rounds – CROCHET EASY SNOWFLAKE is worked up in closed rounds, which means that you will be joining the last stitch of the round with the first one.

4) ( ) – The number of stitches that should be in a completed round/row are placed in brackets at the end of that round’s/row’s instructions.

5) This CROCHET EASY SNOWFLAKE   measures:

2.5 inch / 6.5 cm wide

The finished size will depend on what yarn you use, as well as your tension and hook (as with any amigurumi).

6) You can make CROCHET EASY SNOWFLAKE bigger with a thicker yarn or a larger hook size.

Ch1 at the beginning of round don't count as a stitch.

This part is worked in closed rounds - joining rounds with a slip stitch.
Make a magic ring

R1: 1ch, *(2dc + 2ch)* repeat from * to * 6 times into magic ring, close the round with a slip stitch in 1st st from beg (6 groups of 2dc + 2ch)

R2: 1ch *(2dc + 2ch + 2dc) in ch2sp + 1ch*  repeat from * to * till end of round, close the round with a slip stitch in 1st st from beg

R3: picot = ch5 and sl st in 1st chain
1ch *(1hdc, 1dc + picot + 1dc, 1hdc) in ch2sp + 1ch, sl st in ch1sp*

repeat from * to * till end of round, close the round with an invisible join or with slip stitch in 1st st from beg

Cut yarn with a longer tail to make a loop and fasten off, wave all ends in.

And voila! You made a cute snowflake.

It would make a wonderful handmade gift for your friends, for kids and adults!
