PATTERN NOTES
1) A ch1 at beg of the row DOESN'T count as a stitch

2) Magic ring = the starting point for crocheting in a spiral. Use which ever method you prefer.

3) Continuous rounds - HEART is worked up in continuous rounds, which means that you will not be joining the last stitch of the round with the first one. Instead you will need to keep track of where each round started and how many stitches you have made because after each round you will continue right on to the stitches of the next round (with no join). It is useful to use a stitch marker or piece of yarn to mark the start or end of each round.

4) These Sweet HEARTS Amigurumi measure: bigger one: 5 x 4 cm / 2 x 1.6 inch, smaller one: 3.5 x 3 cm / 1.4 x 1.1 inch
5) You can make the Sweet HEART bigger with a thicker yarn or a larger hook size.

6) There is just minimal sewing, you will only sew two halves of heart together into part - this is quick and easy to do, there are no tricks.

THE WRITTEN PATTERN

THE FIRST HALF / HUMP OF HEART

Make a magic ring

R1: ch1, 6 sc in magic ring, sl st

Working in continuous rounds

R2: 2 sc in each st around from previous round (12 sc)

R3: 1 sc in each st around from previous round (12 sc)

R4: 1 sc in each st around from previous round (12 sc)

THE SECOND HALF / HUMP OF HEART

Repeat instructions from round one to round four.

DO NOT TIE OFF.

BODY OF HEART

Working in continuous rounds

R5: starting from the end of R4, work into Heart First part, sc in next st of the first half, 1sc in next 9 st round the first half, till there are 2 st left, skip 2 st on first half.

Go back to Heart Second Half, skip 2 st and continue working on the second half around, place 1 sc in next 10 st (10 st around one half and 10 st around second half)

Now we connected the two halves (20 st in total)

Now using the cut end from Heart First Half sew together the 2 stitches we skipped, they are between the connected halves.

R6: 1sc in each st around (20 sc)

R7: 4 times decrease in this round: sc2tog flo 1 sc in next 3 st 4 times (16 sc)

R8: 2 times decrease in this round: 1sc in next 3 st, sc2tog flo, 1sc in next 6 st, sc2tog flo, 1 sc in next 3 sc (14 sc)

Stuff.

Make sure you have added enough stuffing into the heart.

img_6584.jpeg

R9: sc2tog flo 7 times (7 sc)

R10: sc2tog flo 3 times (4 sc)

R11: sc2tog flo

Cut the yarn and sew closed.

Then fasten off and wave in all ends.
