2021-04-23

Lovely Stripped Skirt Cilka - made from classic combination of colours: black, red and white. I used my favourite pattern - double crochet V stitches. I love how this “V” pattern looks and I hope you are going to love it as well. It looks great especially in the design for the circle skirts pattern. Let's make this lovely stripped skirt for this spring and summer season together!

The pattern is available here below for free. It comes with a video guide as well.

Do you like crocheting skirts? You may would like to try these patterns as well:

This pattern is made for beginners - only a basic skill level is required to make it. If you don't understand any of my instructions, don't worry I am here for you - enter the comments at the end of this post.

Skirt Cilka Directions
This lovely skirt Cilka is easy to make.
The pattern uses only basic crochet stitches - single and double crochets.
This skirt is crochet from the top down and you just need to measure the waist circumference and crochet the waist part accordingly.
The direction shown are for S size but can be easily converted into bigger size or smaller size – just by making the first part - the waist part according to the circumference of your waist.

The pattern was made with yarn Cilka Vlnika.
For this skirt S size you will need 3 skeins of Cilka yarn.

Cilka: 100% acrylic, 100g / 280m, cotton
For this pattern you will need 3.5 mm crochet hook and 4.00 mm crochet hook.

Difficulty Level: Level 1 – Easy, for beginners

US crochet term:
SlSt – slip stitch
CH/s – chain/s
SC – simple crochet
DC - double crochet
SK - skip
T - turn
ST/s - stitch(es)
REP - repeat

Pattern Notes
1)     Before you start take a waist measurement. I started with 120 rows of single crochets, back loop only.
2)     This pattern is for size S but you can easily changed to bigger size by making more or less rows of the first part.
3)     A Ch 3 at beg of the row counts as dc throughout.
4)     Finish each round with sl st to 3rd chain from beginning. Crochet one more slip stitch to reach the middle of chain space and create V stitch.
5)    “V” stitch = a group of (1dc, ch2, 1dc) crochets, only the first "V" is a group (ch3, ch2, 1dc)
6)     You will need 3 colours:
A) Black
B) Dark Pink
C) White

There are 2 parts of the skirt:
A)    The waist part - I used single crochets in this part
B)    The skirt part - I used double crochets in this part and V stitches

Directions
A part is crocheted in rows. I made 120 rows.
B part is crocheted in rounds, start each round by ch3 as a 1dc and finish each round by 1 slip stitch placed in 3rd ch from beginning.

Both parts of skirt are crocheted as a one piece, together.

We need stretchy part here for the waist.
Pick up the 3.5mm hook and let’s make a 20ch foundation chain.

THE FINAL SIZE MEASUREMENT:

Skirt = skirt circumference bottom row 63 inch / 160 cm
Waist: 3.5 inch / 9 cm high
Skirt: 15 inch / 38 cm long

For longer skirt, you will need to add more rounds of round 8 (R8) until you reach the length you desire.
If you want your skirt to be longer you can continue to increase number of rounds (repeat R8) until you reach your desired length. Just repeat the round 8 until desired length. Remember that when making your skirt longer you will need more yarn.

You can decorate your skirt with a cute little flower - this flower will be perfect also as a bracelet or as a hair ornament. I will come with a pattern for this lovely flower in my next post.
