December news and inspiration! Christmas Crochet, tips for gifts and presents

2023-12-01

Hello Everybody!

Welcome to my blog and also to the new monthly report for the last month of this year - December.

There were so many events and activities in November and I'm thrilled with how everything turned out! Of course, these are events full of crocheting, creation, creativity and the shared joy of beautiful crochet things. I was in Vlnika shop this month so many times, choosing skeins and things to create, checking out the news. And today I'm here again for you with a new report and a few more tips for Christmas gifts and decorations.

SUNDAY CROCHET OF LACE ANGEL

At the end of October, I started the Sunday VIDEO TUTORIALS how to crochet 'a lace angel - the beautiful Angel doll. Every Sunday for 6 weeks until the first Sunday of Advent, we crochet one part of the Angel. Crocheted Angels is intended for more experienced and advanced beginners, the pattern is a bit more complicated, the doll is relatively large, measuring 30 cm, but no worries video instructions are therefore prepared step by step.

The Andílek doll is beautiful as a timeless gift not only for Christmas guests, but all year round for various special events such as the birth of a child, weddings, life anniversaries and achievements. I crocheted this crochet doll for Grandma Anna for her 90th birthday.

I am so excited and happy that you are crocheting this amazing Angel and writing me messages about how you are doing. I am very happy about it and we only have the last part to show us how to complete the whole Angel.

You enjoy the Christmas-themed crochet and mood of angel crochet, so I thought we could continue and crochet together until Christmas? Enjoy your Sunday relaxation while crocheting and then giving gifts to your loved ones, family and friends.

CROCHETING TOGETHER AND WORKSHOPS

I really like to organize crocheting meetings and workshops. In November, I worked a lot with the children, we made Christmas gifts and for Christmas markets. It is amazing how smart and creative children are, and they are not afraid to implement their ideas, they have the desire to try and experiment. Their products are made from the heart and I hope they will warm - not only the body - but also delight the soul.

We often worked with Alize Puffy yarn, which you can easily make a scarf, neckwarmer, pillow or blanket from.

And according to the views of my video tutorials, you also work well with this yarn, because the neck warmer tutorial is among the TOP 10 tutorials for November:

WORKSHOP - HOW TO MAKE A LACE BELL

This time the workshop was for more experienced crocheters. We crocheted with thin yarn and a smaller crochet hook, and since it was the weekend before Advent, we crocheted a lace bell for the Advent wreath.

It was wonderful crocheting together with a great mood, lots of fun and I have to admit - hats off - that the bells turned out amazing! I am very much looking forward to hearing how the homemade starching and turning off the bell turned out and how the finished bell is removed from the wreath.

You asked when the next workshop would be, as you missed this one. I'll see you again after Christmas in the new year, and I'll be happy if you write me what you'd like to learn!

CROCHETING TOGETHER - A MEETING OF CROCHETERS AND KNITTERS MCHACEK

As you know, I like to join to the meetings of the McHáček group, which is organized by my friend Misa. It's such a relaxing event where you chat and crochet, knit or just get inspired by others.

I am always amazed at how beautiful and perfect things my friends can knit or crochet, and after such a meeting I have a lot of plans that I must try. I managed to visit one such meeting in November and I hope that I will also find time in December and see you!
